If the vote on daily changes vs. lineups locking at the start of the week ends up leaving us back to where we are now (lineups locking on Monday without any replacements), this proposal will allow teams to replace players who are placed on the DL, have an injury that will require missed games, demoted, suspended, paternity leave, or any other reason that causes missed games. The changes would need to be made by the LM, and will be approved beforehand.

Here's how it would work: The lineups will lock at the start of the week, and owners won't be able to make changes on their own (this is the default ESPN setting). If a player wants to make a substitution any given day, they'll have to send an email to the opponent AND the commissioner/LM before 3:01 AM that day, explaining the reason for the change. Once the player substitution is verified, the LM will make the changes to the lineup. Why 3:01 AM instead of game time? So that teams don't claim that a player is injured when the lineups are announced and they're just getting a routine day off.
